When the heart breaks open... (Your September Integration Guide🫀)
This month, we’re diving deep into Heart, because true integration happens when we allow ourselves to feel everything.
It’s no coincidence that in September, Heart month, I find myself navigating a broken heart. From what better place can I write to you about the Heart—everything to do with emotional processing, emotional release, freeing up the blockages that keep us from fully feeling?
TAP Integration is here to simplify integration. Integration → Integrity → Wholeness. By segmenting integration into 4 categories—Mind, Body, Heart, and Spirit—we can break down the focus into small, digestible steps.
Today, I’m sharing the tools I’ve been using to move through heart pain while remaining centered in the trust and knowing that EVERYTHING is always working out for me and through me.
The Beauty of a Broken Heart
Here’s what I know about the beauty of a broken heart: when the heart breaks open, all the scar tissue opens, all the blockages rupture, and the light comes bursting through... cue Leonard Cohen.
From this place, I can feel everything—the tenderness, the openness, and the opportunity to flood myself with love and worthiness. I can use this moment to allow grief to move through.
The most important thing I know about our human ability to feel and increase our bandwidth for emotions: we have to open the valve on both ends of the emotional spectrum. Grief ↔ Ecstatic Joy. In order to reach new heights of happiness, peace, and joy, we have to open the valve to let sadness and grief move through.
I sat with medicine yesterday to help accentuate the grieving process—what could have been, the family that could have been born, the partnership, the union. Here is what came through:
“I love you, thank you. Thank you for the gift you gave me to experience true, healthy, trustworthy love. Thank you for the opportunity to experience peace in relationship, secure attachment, and non-violent communication. Thank you for the gift of love you gave me!”
💡 Integration Tips: Moving Through Heartbreak
1 — Open the Emotional Valve Allow grief to move through without resistance. Remember: emotions are energy in motion. As we let them flow, we free up energy to feel lighter and more open.
2 — Morning Heart Practice Start each day with breathwork and self-love affirmations. Let your nervous system remember it’s safe to feel deeply.
3 — Find the Gift Ask: “What did this experience teach me about love? How can this broken heart serve others and bring me closer to those who need it?”
🎥 Video of the Month
“Divine Timing Never Fails — Everything Happens at the Right Moment” I’ve watched this video five times in the last couple of days, and it has filled me with profound peace and trust that everything is happening at the right time.
TAP INtegration Updates
We just co-hosted the most beautiful facilitator gathering in New Mexico with the Conscious Physician. We had a multi-generational, multi-racial gathering of some of the most heart-centered MD’s, researchers, and practitioners in the psychedelic industry. The connection, the learning, the heart-centered community, everything we believe integration should be. The next one in Albuquerque is Oct 4th!
Plus, mark your calendars: we have our ACT HEART-themed facilitator meetup in Austin on September 29th. Come join us as we explore what it means to integrate with an open heart.
Our software is pivoting to support facilitators by handling the administrative tasks so you can stay in your zone of genius, deepening connection and supporting real transformation.
If you’re ready to try the tool that’s quietly revolutionizing the psychedelic integration space, respond to this email!

Your Integration Journey
Thank you for this broken heart. Let it serve others. Let it bring me closer to those who need it.
You are not broken
You are breaking open.
You are not too much
You are exactly enough to feel it all
Integration is how we learn to alchemize our pain into purpose, our wounds into wisdom.
We’re with you. In all of it.
